NATURAL STUFF
mary anna lopez in ventura CA usa -
OK well first get a cup, add warm water about half way, add a little bit of dry rice, add a pinch of sugar, add about a tablespoon of milk, mix gently with spoon, it should be warm. Now get a thin cloth, dip it in the cup and place on top of the eye..I know it sounds gross but it totally removes pain, itch and all the crazy bacteria...trust me I used to think it was gross too.

Plain honey+sensible washing
Kate in Portland, Oregon USA -
I tried the honey remedy because it looked so simple and teabag remedies never seem to work for me. But you cant just put a drop in the eye before bed and and expect that to work (which I suspect is why so many people say it didn't work for them) you have to wash the eye out throuroughly and make sure there are no germs in there. I first wash my entire face with antibacterial soap, then wash out one eye at a time with water. Treat each eye as if it is the only one infected, you don't want to give either eye more germs (if only one eye appears infected, do both anyways.) In between washing eyes, wash your hands with the antibacterial soap again. Use a tissue to get all the gunk out of your eyes. Then carefully drip a drop of honey into your eye (as if it was an eyedrop) It will sting a bit but not too badly. Do the same with the other eye, then after a minute repeat washing them out with water. Make sure you keep the tissue handy and constantly patrol getting the gunk out of your eyes, it will just reinfect them. Once your eyes are clean again smear a little more honey in the eye and esp the tearduct (to make sure the honey fully reaches all the infection). I did this right before bedtime and smeared honey in and around my lashline as well. I had a moderate case of pinkeye and my eyes were totally normal in the morning after I washed the honey off.

I kept on doing that and after a few min all of the red was gone(: Try This!!! its veryyy easy!! Give it a shot*(:

Milk and honey eye wash
Delilah Segura in Lubbock, Texas -
Whenever my child has pink eye, I mix equal amts of honey and milk and soak a cotton ball half wet and "drip" solution into affected eye several times a day. It will sting, but it will kill the infection as honey is a natural antiseptic. Usually starts to clear up in 10-12 hours. Be sure and use a new cotton ball for each treatment so as not to reinfect your eye.

Rice
Gwyn Wise in Hickory, NC -
I took a bag of minute rice placed it dry into microwave for about 1 minute. Wraped it in a washcloth and placed over my eye. I kept it there until it cooled off. When I took it off not only had the swelling gone down but the ichy, burning, pain had also stoped. I did this 3-4 times a day for 2 days and my pink eye was gone. I'm not going to say this will work for you but it did for me when the tea bags, salt water and over the counter eye drops didn't. Good luck.

If you wash your eye out with baby shampoo or baby body wash it will wash out the bacteria and wont hurt your eye because it is tear free because it is used on babies.

Use CVS generic pain relif formula instead of Neosporin.
Buddy in Atlanta, GA -
I applied the ointment to my eyelashes, & outer eye lids, with a Q tip as suggested by others here. IMMEDIATE RELIEF!! And it stopped my blurred vision...The relief has lasted for hours...
Next I'm going to try the green tea bag on the eyes,
that seems to be the most recommended thing here for a cure.
I will keep you posted with my findings.

Semen
Tim Jensen in Here -
Some people on this site have been saying that breast milk works perfectly for getting rid of pink eye. This is a true statement: breast milk does in fact work. You see, it works by making the eye tear up without further adding to the infection by using the sterile breast milk, washing the eye out with natural tears more or less.
I figured, since breast milk works, other bodily fluids would as well! So I tried curing my ailment of pink eye using urine, which is also sterile and makes the eye tear up. Unfortunately, the stagnant urine (for I did not wash my eye out after dabbing a cotton ball soaked in urine into my eye) worsened the effect of my pink eye.
I decided urine does not work, but moved on to the next bodily fluid that would be most appropriate: semen. Long story short, it burns really badly, but it works about 10% of the time (as long as you also flush with lemon juice, warm water, etc.), plus it's fun to produce. So vote yes for semen!

Lemon drops
Anonymous in pomona, ca -
Its not a remedy for pink eye but for the discharge that accumilates... I usually put a small drop of lemon in my eye ( yes it burns) and it happrends to gather the mucous to the corner and you just wipe it away with a clean rag or q-tip...

Lemon Juice
Karen in Kingston, WA USA -
Alright, I know this sounds scary and maybe even a little bit masochistic, but equal parts distilled water and lemon juice always does the trick for me. It hurts like Hell and I have to do the "Holy Crap My Eyes Are Burning Out of My Skull" dance for a few minutes, but within 20 minutes my nasty case of both eyes having very bad pink eye went almost completely away. My friend and fellow massage therapist has been using natural home remedies for himself and his 4 children for years and years and he swore by it. Good luck, I hope this helps.

Contact lens solution/tea bags
Jessy in Wisconsin -
Put 1 drop of contact lens solution in the affected eye(s). Then put 1 hot tea bag on the eye(s). Put 1 more drop in the eye(s). Do this every 30 minutes. I find it easier to heat some water in a mug and stick 2 tea bags in it. I just set it and the contact lens solution by my bed and do it every 30 minutes. Also, remember to wash your hands afterwards...I just use hand sanitizer.
