The people of hawaii use this plant for many health problems. This plant is processed into a form of a juice it's called the NONI juice. This juice is very powerfull!If you find a bottle read the instruction's first! The lable should include other health problems that it will take care of!

Carol in CT -I don't have diabetes, but here is something I read in an old home remedy book, hope this helps.
Jerusalem artichokes are alkaline in reaction, rich in potassium and offer large amounts of calcium, sodium, phosperous, sulfer, iron, chlorine, and magnesium. The protein matter amounts to 2%, a wholesome gum 9.1%, levulose sugar 4.2% and inulin 1.1 %
The sugar can be eaten by diabetics; and the starch is represented by inulin, which triples in quantity by Fall. Not only have the tubers been used as a specific remedy in pancreatitis and diabetes, but extracts of the plant have been found effective against staphylococcus and Escherichia bacteria.
