Betadine (Povidone Iodine)
Sabrina in Denver, CO -
Per a family physician's instruction, I added 2 drops of betadine (povidone iodine) to the NeilMed sinus rinse bottle along with the boiled water and salt packet. I rinsed 4-6 times per day, and the infection was gone within one week. It's the first time I have kicked a sinus infection without antibiotics, and I normally get 4 infections per year.
You can buy the betadine at Walgreens.

Grandmother's prevention
Elle in Boston, MA -
Every time i get sick it turns into a sinus infection. i hate using antibiotics so often and take my grandmothers advice-- in the shower, cup your hands with warm water and 'drink' the water through your nose. repeat several times, i do it every day in the shower when i start to get sick, also works once the infection has hit but i can't guarantee it will work for everyone after full onset

Vitamin C, Magnesium and Niacin Therapy
Cesar H. del Rosario in Jacksonville, FL. -
Take 500 mg. of Vitamin C with 500 mg. of Magnesium and last but not least 500 mg. of Niacin. All three at once once a day. Some people might not be able to take that amount of dosage at one time the first time around. So please vary the dosage to 100 mg. of Vit.C, 100mg of Magnesium and 50 mg of Niacin. Some people might be sensitive to Niacin and have a reaction to it like a hot flush throughout the body. It will cause them people to itch and scratch their skin but that is normal and not harmful. It indicates the blood vessel near the surface of the skin has increased blood circulation and throughout the areas of the body like the sinus area. That's where the healing start. Sinus relief should be noticed within two to three hours later depending on the person's condition. Increase the dosage to 200 mg of Vitamin C, 200 mg. of Magnesium and 100 mg of Niacin the next day if no results are seen. On the third day go to the Max of 500 mg Vit. C, 500 mg Magnesium and 500 mg of Niacin. I started of right away with 500 mg of Vitamin C, 500 mg of Magnesium and 500 mg of Niacin. In three days my sinus infection was gone for a very long time. I repeated the treatment one or two more time and my sinus infection never came back again.
PS Depending on your tolerance to the amount of dosage your body can handle experiment to what the right amount will work best for you.

Natural Cure for Sinus Infection
Vlad in Connecticut USA -
Here's what my mom used to make me do when I had a sinus infection as a kid.
Boil some whole potatoes in a pot until done. Drain the water, but leave some on the bottom of the pot.
While everything is still hot, put your head over the pot and cover your head with a towel. Inhale this steam through your nose for a few minutes until your nose clears. You will feel immediate relief.
Also avoid drinking cold fluids and foods. Stick to the hot tea with honey and soups.
