Multi vitamin daily

terri g in warren ri - best
Most often than not, we just need a multi vitamin. One a day, take the right one for you. They make them for kids, women and men. Take it in the morning with your coffee. I feel a difference when I skip a couple of days.

Yerba Mate

Jacob in Los Angeles, CA - best
Argentines drink yerba mate all day, and the argentine heart association recommends it. It wakes you up just like caffeine, but has the advantage of giving you chlorophyll and vitamins (it's like drinking a vegetable). The plant is related to holly, and it contains a chemical which is almost identical to caffeine. (The authorities are still debating whether or not it's the same thing). If you don't have time to sleep, this is a good alternative. Also, the traditional drinking cup and straw are great conversation-starters.

Don't buy your mate (pronounced MAH-tay) at natural foods stores, because it's usually way overpriced. If you live in a major metropolitan area you can get it much cheaper at a Latin American grocery store, or you can order it online. (just google "mate" and you'll see it).

Remedy for tiredness

Carol in CT - best
I know alot of people don't like molasses, my kids lift their noses every time I mention it. But molasses is good for you. You don't need to take iron pills.

If you just have a teaspoon of molasses every day then it will give you all the iron you need in your body.

You can even make molasses tea in the morning. Just stir in a teaspoon in a cup of hot water.

Sometimes I get cramps down by my toes at night, and read once that these cramps are caused by a lack of iron in your blood. So I take molasses for this, and the cramps go away. I am 54 and my body seems to be going through many changes.

But I also like chicken livers too, my kids hate chicken livers!
