PMS Relief

Melissa in OH USA - best
I had really severe PMS every month with major mood swings, bloating, cramping, headaches, etc to the point my family would go out of their way to avoid me. I tried everything including the anti-depressants marketed to help with that but those just made me feel worse. I did some research and tried this and the changes have been remarkable. I would say 90% of my sypmtoms are gone. I just started taking a Calcium supplement that includes Vit D, Magnesium, and Zinc and a Fish Oil supplement. I no longer have the bloating, mood swings, cramping, etc. It's worth a try!

Menstral Cramps

Leona in Stratford, NJ - good
Three things:

1) Avoid Caffine... including aspirin.
2) Take Aleeve (no caffine)
3) Use heating pads or the disposable ones that you can buy at any drug store. Really really helps with the pain.

Exercise (with a little over-the-counter help)

Tasha in Bothell, WA USA - best
I've always noticed that when That Time of the Month comes around and I've been particularly lazy lately, my cramps are about fifty times worse! If your period is coming up, make sure you're getting hydrated and fitting in plenty of exercise- your body will handle its cycle much better!
Now, this doesn't mean cramps will magically go away. I usually take Naproxen Sodium pills (you can get them pretty much anywhere) for my cramps; I think it's the best over-the-counter painkiller there is. It has the same active ingredient as Aleve.

Supplements

Brenda in Ft. Lauderdale, FL - best
For any type of cramps, but especially period cramps, take a supplement with 1000mg of Calcium and 500mg of Magnesium. Calcium is a necessary component for muscle contraction and relaxation and Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxer. You should notice a difference in 15 minutes. Calcium and Magnesium should be taken together for best absorption. For more tips, check out my blog at www.MinervasTablet.com. Hope that helps!

This may sound weird but it really works!! When you have pain keep your hand (palm) on your tummy the area where u have pain(directly touch the hand of your skin to your stomach, if someone else can do that ask as others touch is more relieving)
